Key Stage 4 students at RAP were fortunate to have dedicated staff from ‘St Giles Trust’ to deliver six sessions with linked themes from the PSCHE curriculum.
The speakers from St Giles were fantastic and staff and students at RAP cannot praise them highly enough. They spoke the language of our students and clearly explained the themes linked to ‘gangs’ and ‘grooming’. The sessions were organised in a logical sequence and built on previously learnt knowledge.
Students were fully engaged for all sessions and hung on to their every word. As a teacher, I also learnt a lot and the speakers ( Richard and Malik) shared their lived experiences with humour and wisdom. The power of first-hand testimony is immense. I cannot thank or praise everyone involved enough for what you have done for our students. It has truly been a life-changing experience and I look forward to an ongoing relationship with St Giles.
