On Friday 6th March, the whole of RAP went on a trip to The British Library and Word on the Water (a floating book shop on a barge moored on Regent’s Canal, King’s Cross).
At The British Library, students had the opportunity to see rare texts such as the Magna Carta, the Lindisfarne Gospels and original scripts of Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet and Hamlet.
On The Word on the Water, students were able to have an immersive experience of reading books on a canal boat with gentle music in the background in front to a real fire!
Overall, it was a fantastic finale to an amazing Literacy Week at RAP, where all had fun and learned a lot.
