Cultural Capital
Within a school setting, Cultural Capital is defined as ‘the essential knowledge that students need to be educated citizens, introducing them to the best that has been thought and said and helping to engender an appreciation of human creativity and achievement.
At RAP we place a huge importance on providing students with endless opportunities to develop their Cultural Capital. Such Cultural Capital opportunities can be seen through a range of trips and school visits linked to each of the curriculum areas. Further to this there are a range of themed weeks/celebrations, reward trips, residential experiences and a variety of opportunities to take part in activities that pupils wouldn’t ordinarily take part in, all aimed at enriching their lives.
Cultural Capital opportunities at RAP have been carefully sequenced to ensure that they are progressive year-on-year and prepare students to be understanding and a contributing member of society. Click on the links below to download each year groups Cultural Capital scheduled events.
