Outcomes

The Year 11 Provision has a significant impact on the educational, social and emotional outcomes of newly arrived young people. Through rapid assessment, targeted academic teaching, personalised support and strong collaborative working with external agencies, students make accelerated progress from their starting points, often within a very short time frame.

Learners who may have had disrupted or limited access to education quickly re-engage with learning, build confidence and develop essential functional skills in English and mathematics. High levels of accreditation demonstrate the effectiveness of the curriculum and intervention model, with the vast majority of students achieving recognised qualifications that allow access to further education.

The Provision successfully transitions students into appropriate post-16 destinations, ensuring continuity of education and reducing the risk of students becoming NEET. Careers guidance, application support and close monitoring of destinations help students to secure long-term opportunities and develop aspiration for the future.

For many students, particularly unaccompanied minors and Looked After Children, the Provision offers safety, stability and a sense of belonging during a period of significant personal change. As a result, students leave the Provision with improved academic outcomes, increased independence, stronger emotional resilience, and a clear pathway into further education, laying the foundations for successful integration into society and long-term personal development.

The percentage of accredited exam entries passed has been as follows:

• 2022/23: English 85%, Mathematics 96%
• 2023/24: English 97%, Mathematics 94%
• 2024/25: English 100%, Mathematics 100%

These results demonstrate rapid academic progress within a short timeframe and highlight the effectiveness of personalised support for students with diverse needs.
