Specialist Police Officers from the Metropolitan Polices Aviation firearms command based at London City Airport were invited to speak at the RAP as part of the Mets Campaign to promote instilling Women and Girls to have the confidence to challenge Violence Against women and girls.
PC Auorah and PC Hollingdale were the invited Speakers, with PC Auorah promoting an Initiative called MetGirlz, Which instills positive images of women at work thus inspiring confidence and a can do attitude.
PC Auorah explained to the female students that she was not always the confident woman standing before them and gave a fascinating insight into her professional development whilst PC Hollingdale who conducted a session with the boys explained the weapons used by armed officers and then gave a practical demonstration in handcuffing which the boys loved.This was followed by a question and answer session, with the event being deemed by students and staff to be a resounding success.
