Our students took part in an inspiring Black History Month workshop delivered by the Serious About Youth organisation. The session was both educational and thought-provoking, shining a light on the remarkable achievements of Black inventors, creators, and leaders who have shaped history and continue to influence the world today.
Students explored stories of resilience, creativity, and innovation discovering how individuals from Black communities have made lasting contributions in science, art, technology, and social change. The workshop encouraged pupils to think deeply about identity, pride, and perseverance, helping them understand that history is not just something to learn about, but something to build upon.
We ended the session with an engaging and interactive game focused on success and mindset, where pupils reflected on what it takes to reach their goals. Through discussion and teamwork, they learned that success often starts with the right mentality believing in yourself, staying focused, and never giving up.
It was a truly powerful experience that celebrated culture, inspired ambition, and reminded every young person that they have the potential to create their own legacy.
