BMX Skills at Redbridge Cycling Centre

This week, students took part in an exciting BMX session at the Redbridge Cycling Centre, developing their riding skills on a BMX track. Throughout the session, students learned how to navigate bends, manage speed, and approach obstacles with control and confidence.

A key part of BMX is understanding how to take calculated risks. Students were encouraged to assess each challenge, think about their approach, and make informed decisions before attempting new sections of the track. They quickly realised that success comes from preparation, practice, and good judgement rather than rushing into things.

As the session progressed, students became more confident in their abilities, showing determination and focus as they refined their techniques. It was great to see them encouraging one another and recognising that improvement comes through repetition and perseverance.

The session was a fantastic example of how sport can teach valuable life lessons. Students left with improved BMX skills, a sense of achievement, and a better understanding of the importance of patience, practice, and making smart decisions under pressure.
