Celebration Breakfasts Boost Attendance

To celebrate and encourage good punctuality and attendance, we introduced our Friday Celebration Breakfasts this half term and the results have been fantastic!

Our first two celebration breakfasts took place on Friday 10th and Friday 17th October, and the impact was clear to see. During those two weeks, our overall attendance reached its highest levels of the half term, climbing from 59% in late September to over 73% by mid-October.

Not only did attendance rise, but authorised and unauthorised absences both dropped significantly. The week beginning 6th October saw our authorised absences fall to 8.9%, and by the following week they had dropped even further to just 6.3% — the lowest of the half term. Unauthorised absences also saw a steady decline.

These improvements show that our Celebration Breakfasts are doing exactly what we hoped — motivating students to attend regularly and start their Fridays positively. We’re proud of the effort our students have made and look forward to continuing to celebrate good attendance next half term!
