This week, our students visited Lambourne End Farm for a day of outdoor learning, fresh air, and new experiences. For many of them, it was their first time visiting a working farm, and it gave them the chance to step away from the classroom and learn in a completely different environment.
The students took part in hands on activities, learning about animals, farming life, and how the countryside works. They showed great curiosity, asked thoughtful questions, and were keen to get involved. Being around the animals helped some students feel calmer and more confident, and it was great to see them step outside their comfort zones.
The trip also encouraged teamwork and responsibility, as students supported each other and followed instructions from the farm staff. It was a positive and meaningful experience that helped build confidence, independence, and a stronger connection to nature.
Overall, the visit to Lambourne End Farm was a lovely reminder that learning doesn’t only happen in the classroom.
