The students took on a new challenge at The Castle Climbing Centre in Stoke Newington, one of London’s most unique climbing venues. Set inside a former Victorian water pumping station, the centre provided an impressive backdrop as students tested both their physical and mental strength.
Climbing quickly taught students that success isn’t always about being the strongest, it’s about staying calm, thinking ahead, and finding a way through when things get difficult. As they tackled different climbing routes, students had to solve problems, trust their decisions, and keep pushing themselves when they felt like giving up.
One of the most rewarding parts of the session was seeing students achieve climbs they initially thought were impossible. Every route completed was a reminder that confidence grows when you challenge yourself and keep trying, even when progress feels slow.
The trip was a fantastic opportunity for students to step outside their comfort zones, build resilience, and experience the satisfaction that comes from reaching a goal through determination and effort. By the end of the session, there were plenty of tired arms, big smiles, and a real sense of achievement.
