This week, students took part in an exciting road biking session at the Redbridge Cycling Centre, stepping up from basic cycling into a more advanced and focused environment. For many, it was their first experience riding on a proper track, which brought a new level of challenge and excitement.
Students learned key road biking skills such as control, positioning, balance, and awareness of others around them. They quickly realised that road cycling is not just about speed, but about focus, discipline, and making smart decisions while riding. As the session progressed, confidence grew, and students became more comfortable pushing themselves and improving their technique.
There were moments where students had to dig deep, especially when feeling tired, but they showed resilience and kept going. Supporting each other along the way, they built teamwork and a strong sense of achievement by the end of the session.
Overall, it was a great experience that developed not only physical fitness but also confidence, focus, and determination, key skills that will support students both in and out of school.
