Our Year 11 students visited Amazon Global’s corporate offices in the city of London, which host a workforce of over 12,000 employees. Both students and staff were impressed by the scale of the organisation and the fifteen floors of offices.
On arrival the group were welcomed by Bernard Pinto, Client Services Manager, who guided the visit. Students were shown a range of facilities designed to support staff wellbeing, including relaxation areas, mini golf, bowling, wellness rooms and quiet spaces. There were also prayer facilities and dedicated areas to support working patterns, which students found particularly interesting.
Each floor featured private pods for meetings and calls, as well as a variety of dining areas to accommodate the large workforce. Students asked thoughtful questions about career pathways and opportunities within the company.
The group also visited the mailroom operations, where teams manage logistics for major banks and global organisations. The visit concluded on the fifteenth floor, where students learned about senior leadership roles, including the UK and Ireland Country Manager.
